Welcome to my knitwear repair service, dedicated to extending the life of your cherished garments. I offer expert darning solutions, whether you require a visibly decorative repair or a near invisible darn.

This darn was woven in two colours and then chain stitched over the top to create a leaf pattern.

Invisible Knitwear Repairs

For truly invisible repairs, you will need some of the original yarn from your garment. If this is unavailable, I will carefully match the colour as best I can using my extensive selection of quality darning threads to achieve the closest possible result.

Medium Hole

This hole was repaired using the Swiss darning technique to achieve a near invisible mend.

Pricing

Here are my standard prices for darning services, based on the width of each hole (prices listed per hole) plus return postage:

Small holes (such as moth holes) up to 2cm: £5
Medium holes (2–4cm): £10
Large holes (4–6cm): £20

For holes larger than 6cm, please get in touch for a custom quote. If your garment has several holes - especially small ones - you may qualify for a discount on the usual rate per hole.

To get started, simply send me a photo of the damage along with any preferences you have for the repair. Be sure all garments are washed before sending them over.

If you are based in the Milton Keynes area I may be willing to accept a payment in kind (past donations have included vegetables, honey and wine!).
